Magic Box


Constructed entirely of steel, wood and glass, the sports complex was designed by French architect Dominique Perrault. The name "Magic Box" ("Magic Box") refers to the dynamic design of the angular displacement of shell covering the two wards. Multifunctional center located at Manzanares Park, in an area of ​​17 hectares including large gardens. It consists of three stadiums with a capacity of around 18,000 spectators. It has 27 tennis courts and venue managed by Madrid sports and Conference Spaces also being able to practice tennis and paddle in the open or under cover, besides swimming in heated pools.
The Magic Box is based on two main buildings: The Magic Box and Indoor Tennis Building, occupying a total of 103,300 meters square. All grandstands at the Magic Box can be partially or completely covered, thanks to retractable roofs that rise in the distance like giants caps, which means that this "box" can be opened and closed at will.
