Retiro Park 

Approximate: 4 hours 


A walking tour of about 4 hours highly recommended doing both in spring and in any weekend of the year in which the weather is to avoid rainy days. On warm sunny days the park is full of activity and entertainment, and serves to oxygenate the walker. Called "the Madrid’s lungs".


The tour started in the Puerta de Alcala, Madrid typical monument on your right is the entrance of the Retreat. Begin the path that will travel to the lake where you place most outdoor performances. At the lake you can rent a boat for a walk and admire the architectural monument to Alfonso XII, located in the center.


After the lake, until the Crystal Palace, on the way and some steep uphill, there are temporary exhibitions. In this way recognizes the most significant wildlife park. Later you can admire the statue of the Fallen Angel, one of the park dedicated to Lucifer, then to the Rose Garden and down will reach the Hill of the Moyanos, where there is usually street stalls, curiosities, books, bargains, etc... 


On the left we left the building of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Atocha station with 11 M emblematic monument, dedicated to the victims of the attack on March 11, 2004 at Atocha station.


A tour for nature lovers, for anyone who wants to enjoy the daily activity of a park full of history, legends and life.
