Retiro Park

Travel about 4 hours walk. The park begins at the French Bridge and the River Manzanares runs linearly for more than 7km. walking a narrow strip but its location in the heart of Madrid, makes it especially interesting and accessible from any public transport.

Very close to the historic city center where you can see the Royal Palace and the new Royal Collections Museum, the Almudena Cathedral, the Campo del Moro, West Park, Fisac ​​Hydrographic Center or the NH Madrid Río to give examples of most tourist Madrid.

The park occupies the place through which passed before the M-30 and gardens and houses rising on both sides of the river. Especially interesting are the many walkways and bridges crossing the river every few meters. The historic bridges, such as the French Bridge, Victoria Bridge, King's Bridge, Bridge of Segovia or Toledo Bridge, which crossed the Manzanares centuries, come together with new executions as Arganzuela Footbridge Perrault.

This Madrid River joins the path Manzanares Park that runs about 30 km to the mouth of apple orchards in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, large walk that can make biking or walking in several days.
