Just 87 km by road from Madrid we find the city of Segovia, World Heritage city, is formed by a rich monumental heritage that are worth visiting. Add to this the interest in their neighborhoods, as the Jewish quarter, the houses and the green belt surrounding it.

You can´t miss it!

The Aqueduct

Built by the Romans around Century II, has endured over the years stoically still surprising that the 25,000 granite blocks are not connected with any mortar. The basic structure has remained intact over the years, with very few maintenance tasks performed, except for cleaning, because until recently, traffic flowed beneath the arches. Its highest point is 29 meters. Undoubtedly the star of the town monument.

Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral

Flamboyant Gothic style that was so popular in fifteenth century Europe. It was the last Gothic cathedral built in Spain. The building of the cathedral forms one of the four sides that leads to the Plaza Mayor, one of the busiest in the city, and a perfect place to make a short stop and admire the buildings of the city. Pay special attention to segoviano sgraffito, a decorative element rather unique and has its greatest exponent in this Spanish city.

The Quarterdeck

Residence of many kings of Castile, built between the XII and XVI. Stands as a fortress for its location raised on the hill where the rivers Eresma and Clamores. In 1762, Carlos III founded the Royal School of Artillery, which was housed in the Alcazar. In 1862 a fire destroyed the wooden ceilings, along with much of the artistic and cultural heritage that was in it.
